Hi there! I wasn’t expecting what I read, but super happy McFly was so
honest and real. Heres the summary for McFly - Unsaid Things: Our Story…
Prepare to meet the real
McFly …
In 2003, Tom Fletcher, Danny
Jones, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter came together and formed what would become
one of the most popular and successful bands in the UK. Just teenagers at the
time, they were catapulted into the limelight and had to adapt quickly to their
new-found fame – and everything that came with it. Now, at last, they have decided
to tell their story, in full and revealing detail.
Speaking with candour and
their trademark humour, Tom, Danny, Harry and Dougie share both the stories of
their own lives and that of McFly. They give their personal insights into their
contrasting childhoods, the individual paths that led them to the band, the
struggles they have each overcome, their love lives and, of course, their
music.
Packed with previously
untold stories, a lot of laughter and the occasional tear, Unsaid Things offers
a privileged look into the lives of four guys who started out as bandmates and
became best friends. Their unique camaraderie radiates from every page and by
the end of the book, you’ll know them almost as well as they know each other…
I’m
happy I read this. In all honesty it was NOTHING like I expected. I’m used to
reading books with characters and made up situations but their story is just
like one big adventure. Since biography’s aren’t what I’m used to this too me a
while to read, I got bored but it was still great! I could read 2 or 3 chapters
a night but then I’d skip a night. The book is separated into
thirteen chapters. I enjoy the way it's set out; each member have a paragraph
where they talk about things from their perspective, and their name's are
written in bold so it's clear who's talking. I like seeing how different the
boys were raised and how close they all became! Reading about Dougie made me cry... All the boys had me in ears at some point actually...
This
book is for 1) McFly fans and 2) anyone who enjoys reading about celebrities. I
loved how open and honest the boys were and how they explained things in a way
that everyone understands. I’m 19 and I couldn’t imagine having boys (in their
case girls) throwing themselves at me and not
reacting! They’re also very thankful for their crew and families for the
support all these years. Anyone can tell by reading this that the group feels
blessed to be given this opportunity. They’re extremely talented and I love
them!
Interesting,
honest and quirky!
